Princeton Symphony Orchestra Performs Pulitzer Prize-Winning Piece on Friday Night Broadcast ConcertThe Grammy-winning trio Time for Three joins the orchestra for this concert Friday (4/3 at 8 pm) featuring Contact by Kevin Puts, which won the Pulitzer Prize and two Grammy Awards.
This concert features a legendary pairing of conductor Daniel Barenboim and pianist Martha Argerich, along with the Berlin Philharmonic. Argerich takes the spotlight for Beethoven’s Second Piano Concerto, and the concert closes with Brahms’s Third Symphony.
Robert Aubry Davis explores the sources and mainstreams of European music for the thousand years before the birth of Bach. (Due to the length of the Friday evening concert broadcast, Millennium of Music will air at 11 pm this week).
